MyMovies.Net Update
Kobra Khan! Yes, it is I - back once again with the renegade master and bopping up all over your crib in a film-related fashion. In the words of Duke Nukem; "it's time to blithely bang on about a bunch of movies and then chew bugglegum....and I'm all out of gum" or something along those lines.

Watch "The Eye" Jessica Alba interviewIt's been something of a damp squid in the halls of movie manor this week - very little to get excited about pre-"Iron Man" but as ever, I, your faithful servant, was on hand to get up in the grills of the rich and famous to discuss their latest paychecks. And the first 'grill' frequented belonged to the lovely Jessica Alba who was in town to promote "The Eye" - a fairly competent little shocker and actually goes some way to proving that Extreme Asian Cinema can be adapted and adapted successfully at that. OK, so there's nothing here you havn't seen before, well...except Alba emoting for a change, but "The Eye" is worth a watch. And here's J to the Alba to tell us all about it...

Watch the "Deception" Ewan McGregor InterviewDecidedly less good is "Deception" - a low-rent noir thriller produced by and starring Hugh Jackman. This purports to be a twisty, erotic, exercise in suspense but it turns out to be more a case of linear storytelling, plot holes ago-go and all the eroticism of a slice of gruyere cheese. Not even a lovely looking Michelle Williams can address that balance and even Obi Wan finds himself drawn in to this hokey mess. I managed to catch up with Ewan McGregor to get the lowdown on "Deception" and guage the Jedi Master's thoughts on his latest offering...

Watch "The Dark Knight" TrailerNow I could round off proceedings with new look at the latest and greatest heading your way soon but the truth is there's simply very few new trailers out there. So how about instead a reminder of what looks set to be one of, if not the, best blockbuster to hit this summer. Meet one Mr. Bruce Wayne. He's Batman don't you know and here he is looking all badass and brooding in the brand new official poster. And we only have four more days to wait for a new trailer!!!! Booh yeah!

MyMovies.Net Update
"Here comes the hotstepper, murderer - I’m the lyrical gangster, murderer - Pick up the crew in-a de area, murderer - Still love you like that, murderer" Yes, that was the one and only Kamoze Ini...truly a catchy little number but I can't say as that I agree with the sentiment. After every nicety there's the reminder that he is infact a very bad man, not too averse to hurting someone. And that's just not how we roll here on the MyMovies blog.

Watch the "Fool's Gold" red carpet reportAnd nor, I would imagine, is it the rolling method of Kate Hudson and Matthew McCounaghey...how's that for a tenuous link?! Yes these two are at it again like rabbits - this time swapping the fun 'n' frolics of "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" for a spot of treasure hunting in "Fool's Gold". It would certainly be a fool's errand if you actually went to see this film but if lightweight rom-com is your thing then why not check out this red carpet report featuring The McHudson.

Watch the "Happy-go-lucky" trailerSlightly more upmarket, and a cinematic offering that doesn't make you feel sullied and used with its tanned-up, gold-hunting, high jinx, is "Happy-Go-Lucky". Mike Leigh is back doing the whole social exlporation 'thing' and here he has opened up a nice feel good can of worms gawd bless him. We even managed to track down the star of the whole freakin' show, Sally Hawkins, so that she might wax lyrical and generally pontificate wildly about her work with Mike 'The Spike' Leigh.

What? Still not satisfied?!!! Well I'm sick of it! Sick of it I say!!! Actually that's not true - I live to serve you guys and serve I shall with this frankly soul-jingling clip for the incoming "Iron Man". How about a touch of the Iron Man all up in his heesouse. You know you love it! Yep, summer is fast approaching and the metal-clad hero is here to usher in another season of high concept popcorn mayhem! Bring it!

MyMovies.Net Update
Hola my film-loving brethren for it is I - come to haunt your dreams once more with my inane ramblings. Yes, I've been away from the blogging fold for a little while now having been kidnapped by a gaggle of seething movie punters who had foolishly watched "Meet the Spartans"...for you see I wasn't around to warn them...all two of them.

Watch the "Leatherheads" trailerFeeling somewhat refreshed and well nourished I quickly got back on the case like a souped up Batman and continued my one man quest to bring you all the latest bits and bobs from the movie world. And first up we have old Gorgeous George - Boo Yeah! How do you like 'dem apples! The Cloonster was on hand to talk up his latest directorial/starring vehicle "Leatherheads". Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that it's not a S&M rollercoaster but more a flim flam rom/com set in the good ol' days of American Football.

Watch the "21" trailerAh yes, when I was a wee tyke growing up on the Isle of Wight I liked nothing better than to team up with my GCSE Maths chums and take down the casinos for all they were worth using our numerical mad skillz. Pickings were rather slim obviously but top marks for originality no? Apparently not - as some MIT students stateside got Watch the "Speed Racer" Trailerround to it first and now Hollywood has cranked out a film about their real-life exploits. "21" stars Jim Sturgess and Kevin Spacey in full on 'shouty' mode and sees the young bucks hit up Vegas with their card counting skills in tow. Check out the 'making of' here. Yatze!

Well, I shall love you and leave you in a particularly tender way by offering thee the latest preview for "Speed Racer". Those uber geeks The Wachowski brothers are back in the saddle and giving it tons with this kitsch adaptation of the 60's anime show.
